Fermentation microbiology specialist
Proventus is a world leader in submerged fermentation (SMF) of bacteria (e.g. Bt), yeast, fungi (e.g. Beauveria), and filamentous bacteria, as well as solid-state fermentation (SSF) of bacteria (e.g. rhizobia) and fungi (e.g. Beauveria).
Responsibilities
- Execute small to large scale bioprocess operations (fermentation, clarification, and purification)
- Assemble, sterilize, monitor, and clean production fermenters and other equipment, including media preparation, probe calibration, batch sterilization/autoclaving, inoculum preparation, and down-stream processing
- May be required to carry/move materials weighing up to 50 lbs
- Operate fermentation automated system
- Work with coworkers and supervisor to effectively troubleshoot minor equipment and process issues
- Follow established safety and environmental guidelines and procedures for all work performed
- Document, record, and summarize information related to the process
- Assist in writing Standard Work Instructions and Batch Production Records
- Draft and review development protocols and reports
- Inventory and Sample Management
- Candidates need to be able to work on a flexible schedule; weekend work may be required.

Education
